How Polish Pals Began

Before founding Polish Pals, I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant, gaining valuable hands-on experience in patient care. During this time, I became increasingly frustrated with the lack of staffing requirements for the number of residents in some facilities. This reality contradicted my expectations of quality healthcare and made me question the approach to elder care.

It was this realization that sparked my passion for ensuring the elderly receive the care and dignity they truly deserve. With this goal in mind, the next logical step was to create a business that could provide a higher standard of care.

Business creation was made possible with the support of Sarmad Talib, founder of Community Home Care LLC, whose consulting services helped establish the Polish Pals business model. Sarmad and his team guided me through the entire process, ensuring our policies and procedures were Medicaid-compliant and assisting with the Medicaid certification process.

With a clear vision and a compliant business model, the next challenge was to make Polish Pals stand out from other agencies.

The idea came to life through my experience with a resident named Margaret. She painted her nails purple every week, and I saw firsthand the joy it brought her. Having worked in long-term care facilities, she often felt like just a number, but the small task of painting her nails made her feel truly cared for. After I assisted her with her nail polish application, she told me how much it meant to her. That moment planted the seed for what would become the foundation of Polish Pals—a home care service that not only provides exceptional care but also incorporates nail polish applications during our visits to brighten our clients’ days.

Thus, Polish Pals was born: a company driven by the desire to bring personal, meaningful care to those who need it most, with a little touch of color to make their day just a bit brighter.

Why Polish Pals?

At Polish Pals, we believe in the power of connection, care, and patience. Our person-centered approach to home care promotes client health and independence, ensuring that each individual receives the attention and support they need.

As a Medicaid-certified non-skilled home care agency, Polish Pals offers services staffed at a 1:1 client-to-caregiver ratio, creating a personalized and impactful healthcare experience. This unique model allows us to make a difference by providing companion, homemaker, and personal care services that meet Medicaid standards.

Our special touch is the inclusion of weekly nail polish application during caregiving visits. This simple yet meaningful gesture not only provides a moment of pampering but also creates an opportunity for caregivers to foster companionship and treat each client as a valued individual.
